Hello Everyone! As some of y'all know, I love to go to yard/garage sales, thrift stores and such, because you
never know what you are going to find. Reaptat had an awesome find not too long ago with the RVD action
figure at a thrift store. I also love to go to estate sales or auctions. Well, today I hit up on something that
I think is going to turn out to be really cool.

This is a picture of the diamond ring I bought, and I think it is absolutely gorgeous! The brown
diamonds are called "chocolate" diamonds. In the picture, the larger diamond in the middle
looks a little lighter than the others, but it isn't. The flash from the camera made it appear
that way, but all the chocolate diamonds are the same color.

The center chocolate diamond is a one carat SI1 pear shaped diamond, set with only three
prongs. The SI1 rating means it has slight flaws, but is clean to the naked eye. The 8 round
diamonds surrounding the large diamond are .40 carats each, for a total of 3.20 more carats.
They are in what is called a "halo" setting. The band of the ring is covered in smaller
diamonds (50 diamonds of varying sizes on each side). That adds another 1.50 carats to the
ring. The total diamond carat weight on this ring is 5.70 carats.

What tells me this is an older ring is the way it is set, with only three prongs on the pear, and
the halo setting on the round diamonds. Also, underneath the ring, there are heart-shaped
openings on the "breather" area. It really is unique. I've never seen another one like it.

I know y'all are thinking I paid a ton of money for this ring, but . . . are you sitting down? I
literally swiped this ring for $1,300.00. Now I'm no expert, but I've bought enough diamonds
to know a little. My ring is now at my most trusted jeweler being sized for me. (It is a dainty
size 5 1/2, and I'm a 6 1/2.) The appraiser I use won't be back in town until March 2, and
then I will get to find out exactly what this ring is worth, but the jeweler I took it to today is
thinking it could be upward from $20,000.00.

I can't wait to wear it. Anyway, here it is! Yay me!
