Hey all,

I have always been a big fan of the Whole F'N Show - and don't have any idea where else to post the following... - but regardless, I'd really enjoy sharing a match that I had in 2005. Grab a bit of popcorn, some green vegetation [if ya do..], and let me know what you think.

Thank you all, and sorry if I'm stepping on RVD's ground. He is a righteous wrestler!

note - I'm wearing the blue tights and was a little over 18 during the time of this match. The ring-name that I used was the idea of my trainer [Ted Herbert], and is in no relation connected to Roderick Strong.

I would attend practice three times a week, complete a lot of squats, neck bridges and conditioning, then come home and watch njpw, then maybe chat with TJ Wilson [now Tyson Kidd, or Apoc/Shadow - both are great guys and even better wrestlers!]

It'd be great to read some discourse!

Sincerely,

Mark Strong

Thank you :)

Mr. Van Dam is on a way higher level though! Only a few come close.

My trainer wrestled RVD's trainer - The Original Sheik. I remember Ted having old, glossy, black and white photos up on his wall of The Sheik.

RVD comes from an excellent training pedigree, which is one of the reasons why he is, who he is.

Note - Here's a photo of the ring vet who trained me:
