About, oh, 7 or 8 days ago, I had to get down with my son about something he had done. And he didn't like what I was saying, and he just blurted out without thinking "shut up" to me. DO WHAT??? He realized what he had said right after he said it, but the words were already out. So, me being me, I couldn't let that go. So I took his cell phone away. He got ultra mad and went to his room to steam for a while and I told him I would think about how long I was gonna keep his phone and what he had to do to get it back.

Later that day, I was at Dollar Tree and saw this poster and I had to laugh because it was PERFECT! I was in the checkout lane and showed it to the checkout girl and said "isn't this cute, I'm buying it for my son." She said, "Oh, do you have a little one at home?" I said, "yeah, he's 16", and we both busted out laughing.

So I brought this home and taped it to my refrigerator, and I told my son in order to get his cell phone back all he has to do is follow the rules on this poster for 3 days in a row. That's it. That's all he has to do.

Btw, he still hasn't gotten his cell phone back, teehee. And he hates this poster.

I have my own style of mothering, teehee!

(But I thought it was pretty funny too.)

I think that's an awesome idea! My reward would be a big fat baked potato with butter, sour cream, and lots of shredded cheddar cheese. Oh my goodness . . .
