Post State of the forum...

I randomly come back and I see shitstorm-o-rama? My God... I dunno what the fuck is going on, but what I do know is that the dude who maintains the website has been lagging behind in keeping the site software up to date, which opens up the site to potential attacks, such as account takeovers. Now, in my opinion it shouldn't be this way. Updating and patching these holes is as usually simple as one click. Just one.

I don't know if Halo has really gone off the deep end, or has been hacked, whatever, but this shit needs to end now.

Security issues have been identified, cleaned up and are currently being put through some testing. A lot of back end updates have been made and we're testing them to make sure everything is working properly.

Looks like we've have some leaks and some possible sabatoge that could be part of the reasons behind this recent string of unpleasantness. Trust me when I say ... "We are REALLY working on getting this cleared up."

We're also getting started with cleaning up a few things all around the entire site. Font issues, link problems ... mostly cosmetic related things.

Thanks to all those who have been sticking with us through all this. We're doing our best becaue well, RVD is the Best!

Just one cosmetic thing I'd really dig. Would you be able to remove the comments from pages? As a web designer myself, it's one of my peeves. If not, that's cool too. :)

Agreed. I thought code was put somewhere wrong. Not that I'm a web designer but I did run a couple forums at one point. I assume u are talking about the comments at the bottom.

Yep. By default, the back end software puts comments on every page & post and you have to dig into the code to get it to go away. :/

Oh yes. It's one of the "cosmetic" issues we will be working on. All pages that have those pesky "responses" at the bottom will be getting those comments removed.

First thing is to restore order to the forums. Functionality and clean ups to follow quickly thereafter.

Hey do u design websites for yourself? Such as sites to collect adsense revenue? Or affiliate websites? Internet marketing stuff. Just curious.

I rarely put adsense on my websites, I ran a gaming website for two years which is undergoing refurbishment and I have my own portfolio site. I also maintain an internet radio station's website, which will be going under refurbishment itself quite soon.
