I regret to inform everyone here that due to the situation at hand, Halo will not be returning to RVD.com. She has been hurt so bad that she will be unable to come back, so as of now she has left for good. It saddens me to lose a good poster here but she doesnt want to deal with anymore drama

She should come back. Even though she cussed me for no reason I can look past it. I understand she's upset and humans lash out. It happens. I just think she shouldn't be upset at rvd. The guy does more for his fans than anyone. She can't expect to be close personal friends with him just because he has a message board and can talk to us sometimes. And the way she was actin towards me and others it makes her look guilty of sending that hate mail or whatever it was. Not saying she is guilty. But lashing out at innocent people won't help her cause. but like I said we can all let it go and she can come back.

She's not lashing out at RVD because of that, she has his number/email. RVD trusted her enough to let her get closer to him than most fans do. But I agree, it's ridiculous to overreact like she did. I'll repeat what I said before. Get a grip.

Well that sucks. Here's to hoping she does well in her life. She had a interesting point of view.

yeah she did and i think i can speak for everyone when I say this but we're all Gonna miss her Because when she was active on here she brought way too much positive energy to the forums ,enjoyed talking to us,and even helped out on here when she could and was also great person, and awesome friend overall ,and I just wish she'd rethink her decision and come back on here and be active again because it won't be the same without her .

Cripes, I'm gone for a few days and this happens. *sighs* Well, it's her decision and I'll respect it. Her leaving may not resolve much in terms of tracking the offender down but I understand that she needs to do what is best for her own sake and sincerely hope that she considers setting up a new, more secure email for herself and closing down her apparently hacked one. Also I do hope that she understands that she isn't the only one who has been hurt by what happened.

With that in mind... I would like to suggest improving the overall security for all members at these boards. For example, at the old fcorums, you had to login in order to read the messages. We need that here. And perhaps it would also be nice to have a feature that automatically removes accounts once they have been inactive for a certain amount of time. What does everyone else think?

Courage & Peace

I personally wouldn't lock off the forum to guests, just because most people like to get a feel for the forum before joining. I would agree that security needs to be ramped up 10000000x. Checking things out, since I posted the "State of the Forum" thing, the software has been updated, so hopefully the major holes have been plugged up. So that's definitely an improvement.

well maybe not lock all the forums up but a guest lobby would be an acceptable alternative. ive ran my own forums before and had to lock them up due to the same issues, i guess it happens on forums everywhere, and not just mine. but im with everyone here when i say Halo will be sorely missed here, but i can get in touch with her outside rvd.com. it wont be the same as seeing her "random thoughts" threads or anything.

I would get in contact too, but I have seem to have misplaced her email. I may have to root around for it.
