Post people confused with love

One of my biggest pet peeves that I hate is how when someone says to someone in front of people that they love them people automatically think that the person is saying that they love that person romantically and wants to F$#@ them when it's not true at all because when someone says to someone in front of people that they love them ,they are basically saying that they love them as a person and are thankful for them and their friendship and for also being apart of their life and causing a big positive impact to it , because they appreciate them, respect them, and will be there for them to help put a smile on their face just to brighten them and their day when their feeling down and that's what it really means and not the other way around .

i dont even think of sex when i think of love. love to me should be unconditional, and shouldnt be based on sex alone but a closeness with someone that transcends sex. sex in any relationship is a bonus, just frosting on the cake, nothing more, nothing less

I agree with Chasity. Sex is extra. Love is how one feels about someone else.

Sharker, I think you brought up a beautiful subject and you expressed your feelings about it in a very special, insightful, and powerful way. You have an amazing soul, and I can't imagine anyone saying what you just said any clearer. I agree with you 100 percent. There is absolutely no reason in the world why a friend should not be able to look into the eyes of her friend and say "I love you" without it being misconstrued as a sexual inuindo.

What a beautiful sentiment, Sharker. Thank you for sharing with us.
