I just wanted to share this here since I am a member here, and my nephew meant so much to me. My nephew, Dustin, who passed away two weeks ago's best friend, Miss Shannon McAdams, made this cross for Dustin and placed it at the crash site for him, and I think it is so beautiful. What a loving tribute. She loves and misses Dustin so much.

I also wanted to tell y'all that my family asked everyone that attended the memorial service that instead of sending or bringing flowers to bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to "Toys for Tots" this year in Dustin's name. I haven't gotten the total toy count from my brother yet for Dustin's donation, but over 400 people attended Dustin's memorial service so I can only imagine how many toys were brought in. It was my brother, Rick Owens, idea to do that. He thought it would make Dustin happy. I'll let y'all know if I am able to get a total on the number of toys donated in Dustin's name.

I'm going to see if I can donate a toy to my local toys for tots or some place like that too for your nephew I never met him but I know you Halo and any family of yours if a family member of mine to. If you want you can even count me as one of the people you are counting.

Wow, Bull, I believe that's the sweetest thing you ever said to me, Big Bro. Ya got me in tears here, man. Thank you so much. I really appreciate that. And I know Dustin does too. Thanks again, my man. And if anyone else donates in Dustin's name, be sure and speak up so you can get counted. I love you all so much.

btw, if y'all look at the cross real close you'll see that tomorrow is Dustin's birthday. Can this just get any sadder? My family is really struggling with this. All your love and support is so appreciated and needed right now.

That is sweet looking cross. She did a very awesome tribute to her fallen friend. I know what it's like to lose a best friend. I lost my friend almost 10 years ago. I still wish he was here.

Thank you so much, Reaptat. Miss Shannon did put a lot of love and care into her tribute cross for Dustin. And I am certain that in 10 years she will feel much the same for him as you do today for your best friend. I'm so sorry to hear that you have had to suffer such a loss, my friend. The human person may not be standing right next to you anymore, but the heart and soul will always remain.

And thank you to everyone for the all the views, and love and support y'all have given me. I have really felt cared about over the last month, and a lot of it has come from right here. It really is true that you find out who your real friends are when tragedy strikes becuz they will show up for you. I would like to thank all of you who have shown up for me right now. I would also like to thank those of you who have stayed away. I also want to say I love RVD, and thank you so much for never asking me to leave, and it is for that reason that I will always, always call this place my "home".
