Well. Hurricane Irene is coming my way. Let's hope that everything is going to be alright.

It may seem weird, but I'm kinda excited. I am really into weather and I haven't been through a hurricane in about 20 years. Last one my family went through was Hurricane Bob.

Keep us in your thoughts and hope for the best.

Oh my goodness Reap! You and your wife please take care, and if they tell you to evac, please do so! Do you have any other family there close by? I am terrified of wind myself. As you know, myself I live in tornado alley being in Nashville, TN. I'm so scared of it I've seriously thought about putting in an underground storm cellar here on my property. I don't know how much $ one of those would set me back tho. Probably a whole lot!

Please be careful, and I will keep you two in my prayers, my friend.

Thanks for thinking of us. In the city we live, we got rain and wind. I don't know if the rivers in the city are up yet, but they might be soon. Where we live we are out of the danger areas, but some of other parts of New Hampshire got a LOT of rain, up to 10 inches. It's unreal.

Now that Irene has passed, we just have to wait until the river waters in the central and northern part of the state come down.

We also had 3 to 4 flickers of power but we never lost it. Just got lucky.

Am glad that you're safe, Reap-san!

Know what you mean, too. Once lived in a place that got whipped by some hurricane force winds. Was a long time ago but... Yea. It can be sort of exciting, to see people pull together and face the storm... Isn't it strange that so much potential for good can come out of these kinds of disasters?

Courage & Peace
