Post SCREAM QUEENS STUPIDITY THREAD
on: September 2, 2011, 02:12

Ok guys here's a fun thread for everyone. This thread is for all the stupidity you see around you every day. Just feel free to post it here and maybe we'll all get a good laugh over it.

I'll start:

have you ever noticed that whenever you're driving the car ahead of you seems to drive at a snail's pace? Especially if you're in a hurry? Also, doesn't it drive you crazy when the car in front of you has their turn signals on going down the highway for miles on end? And then there's the ones that get behind you at night with their brights on!! Sometimes I wonder how some of these people ever got their liscenses!!

What scares me more is that the people around here only seem to notice pedestrians in a crosswalk if those pedestrians happen to be wearing the colors of the local football team. Talk about selective sight...

LOL. And then there's the ones who drive and point at stuff like they're giving a sight-seeing tour, lol. How interesting can a Dollar General be anyways?

Well at least the ones who point at stuff have some awareness of the outside world. =P

You know, it seems like nearly everywhere passed laws to make texting while driving illegal and yet you still see people zooming by, one hand on the steering wheel but the other hand - and the eyes - are on the phone. Seriously. Some days I feel like the sooner we make cars that can drive themselves, the better. And we can't be that far off. They already have cars that can parallel park themselves and that can stop or swerveby themselves in order to avoid an accident.

Tell me something. If we're building all this smart technology... Smart phones, smart cars, etc... Does that mean that people overall are getting less smart?

Exactly right! People nowadays are getting too dependent on technology to do stuff for them. Cars that drive themselves, smart phones, etc. are never replacements for our own senses, and our brains deserve to be challenged every day. The biggest act of stupidity comes from the United states government because they won't fund the schools properly, and the kids suffer for it.

In Texas, the school system is trying to remove Darwin's theory of Evolution out of the text books because it conflicts with the Bibllical story of Creation. And even in Ohio where I live, the schools can't afford things like computers, band uniforms, etc., and it's rediculous, especially when you consider that students in other countries like China and Japan are graduating from high school with higher levels of education than American students do. It's sad really!

Well, in my opinion, (in Texas) rather than remove the theory of evolution, I think if they are going to teach one theory they sould teach both and let the children decide for themselves which one they choose to believe, being educated on both. Ya know? That's just what I think. Either teach both or neither. I don't think one deserves to be taught and not the other. As far as science goes, they are both "theory".

I feel the same way, halo, and that's why I'm not a Christian. I follow the Orthodox Jewish ways, and it makes more sense to me. No offense to any Christians here, but it seems like Christianity nowadays has gone down the tubes, they want you to believe that all the knowledge you'd ever need is in the Bible, and that science is the Devil's work. What thery fail to realize is that you need science to explain the Bible, and that by studying science you come to realize that there really is a God, and that he is real.

Take Quantum Physics for example. By knowing the chaotic realm of the sub-atomic particles, and how they work, you know that there really is a Universal Mind at work. Science is the key to discovering who God really is, and that includes Darwin's Theory of Evolution. Science has proven the existence of parallel universes, and if you stop to think about you'd know that you need both. At least that's my opinion on things as far as that stuff goes, lol.

I myself, am a Christian, but I don't attend church. In my opinion, church has turned into a place where people go once a week to congratulate each other on being so wonderful, and then go treat people like crap the rest of the week, lol. They think that going to church one day a week excuses their actions the rest of the week. I prefer to worship God and try to live as a Christian all week and in my own way, not the way other people tell me I'm supposed to.

I've also found that people who really need and want to find God, like alcoholics and prostitutes who want help for instance, who show up in church expecting a warm and inviting reception, get exactly the opposite. They are not loved right into the congregation. But rather shunned and turned away because they are not considered "good enough" to rub elbows with these self-righteous church-goers. Someone please tell me, how is that Christ-like?

Someone once told me, if you want to find Jesus go sit with the brokenhearted and that's where he will be. This is true in so many ways.

Well I've had people tell me that if I don't accept Jesus I'm going to Hell, but I have a relationship with God, why do I have to have Jesus too? lmao!

You only need what satisfies YOU spiritually, don't you? No one can judge you on whether or not you are going to hell except God. Why give a second thought to what anyone else says? I certainly don't.
