I'm glad ya enjoyed it Halo-san, all credit should go to the band for being so clever and upbeat though.

Hope that it makes a few people smile. And hey, if anyone else finds a lil upbeat music with good message - please know that you are welcome to share it here.

In honor of Mr. Henson, wanted to share this video today. The song is called Just one Person and there are two versions of it up... First version is from the actual funeral service - please note that apparently Mr. Henson did not wish for anyone to wear black at his funeral and also please note that anyone not wishing see the actual muppeteers should avoid this. Not many people get standing ovations at funerals, though... Really, how many bosses get this kinda love?

Second version is from the muppet show and so is considered more in-character for the characters.

When did Jim Henson die?

Mr. Jim Henson has been dead since May 16th, 1990.

According to reports from those who knew him, he had been ill for most of the month of May. However even when his discomfort was severe, he refused to see a doctor. He thought that his sickness wasn't really serious and that he would heal on his own. He apparently felt that seeking medical advice would be a waste of the doctors time. By the time Mr. Henson finally agreed to go to a doctor, he was having trouble breathing. The hospital staff could not prevent him from going into shock. They did everything they could to save him but ultimately it was too little, too late. He died within a day of being admitted.

In other words, from what I understand, he basically died because he didn't want to bother anyone. If he had just listened to those who cared for him and gone to the hospital sooner... Perhaps he would still be with us. *shrugs*
