DISCLAIMER: This is just my opinion, so don't anyone throw rocks at me or anything, and no one has to agree with me, but . . .

I just went to the tnawrestling.com website, and Jeff Hardy is all over the place. That's not so bad, but they have changed the poster advertising the big live tv taping event in Knoxville moving Hulk Hogan and Sting to the back, and putting Jeff Hardy in the front. I'm sorry, but I just think that's wrong. Don't get me wrong. I love Jeff Hardy, and I'm glad he's back. But these other guys have been there the whole time Jeff was fired for messing up. They have worked hard for their positions in the company. And now Jeff comes back after having to beg his way back, and they get moved to the back of the poster, and he's in the front? If I were Hogan or Sting, I would be majorly pissed.

I just really had to get that off my chest.

What does everyone else think about it?

I agree. He should have to start from the bottom to get a shot at the title. Not saying he will, but I wouldn't be happy.

...but what if Mr. Hogan and Mr. Sting actually agreed to these changes...?

Meh. I do see where you're bothcoming from but I don't know what to think. Perhaps the company believes that young Mr. Hardy has truly worked hard just to come back and is doing this to encourage him to stay on the right path. *shrugs* If wrestling really is what he wants to do with his life, if this is where he wants to be... Then I hope that he sincerely appreciates the kindness of this gesture and doesn't just take the companys faith in him for granted.

You know, Calm, that is a good point. Hardy most likely worked his ass off to get clean and to get back to what he loves to do.

I do love the different views everyone has. It's so awesome that people like this can have civilized conversations.

Thanks for the views and replys y'all! Always respected and appreciated! It's very nice we can have a discussion. It's what I was going for. I wish more people would participate.

I suppose my view could be somewhat "tainted" having worked close to the entertainment business, i. e. traveling with rock bands and being married to an attorney who represents them. The higher-ups in the music industry don't care one iota about the feelings of the guys in the bands. If you sell tickets, you are the headliner. If not, you're opening for someone else. It doesn't matter how long you've been around. Hearts get broken all the time.

I guess I felt the same way when I saw Jeff Hardy on the front of that poster. Jeff is a huge draw. From a business standpoint, it would only make sense for Impact Wrestling to put him on the front . . . Jeff sells tickets and makes money. I really hope they did get Sting and Hogan's permission. They do deserve to be asked.

I don't claim to know anything about the wrestling business because I don't. I did have the pleasure of having some great conversations with the fellas at the NWA Fanfest tho. Both Raven and Johnny Swinger told me some of the cold truths of working and training your ass off for what you love to do, only to go to work and be told you're not needed anymore. (Not in those words, of course.) And of course, that can happen in any business, I understand. But it would be much, much harder in the world of wrestling to just turn around and go get another job. It has to hurt.

Just an example of how sleezy the record companies can be: They have what is called the "three record screw". And this is why new young bands should never take a three record deal. Always take a two. Anyway, what they will do is sign new young bands to a three record deal. This sounds great, doesn't it? The band gets really excited. But it's not. What this means is the band is commited to produce three albums. They HAVE TO DO IT. But the records companies know that a lot of times the bands can't do it because they are young and inexperienced and they could turn out to be a "one hit wonder". So the band does one really great album, the next one flops, and the third one never happens. Then the record company turns around and sues the band for not producing the third album and takes all their money. Nice, huh? They do stuff like this all the time.

Anyway, sorry for going on and on. And thank you, Reap and Calm, for listening to my opinion.

That's what makes people who they are. If you don't have your own opinion, then who are you really?

I agree with you, Halo and I wish that I had the answer. You know... Why are the people who are always there, working hard in the background... Why do they so often get shoved aside and overlooked? Why are they not considered to be as big a draw as the favored one with the troubled path?

Such a strange society that we live in...

People do seem to be strange like that. Drama and controversary really sells. It's an attention getter; gives people something to talk about. Wouldn't it be great if more people spent as much time talking about the good that people do?
