Ok, the wife and I went to this store called BJ's, which is a wholesale club similar to Sam's Club. Anyway, we walk in and look over and see that they have the CHRISTMAS stuff on display already!!

We couldn't believe it. They couldn't wait unitl Halloween was over. I don't think people want to think about Christmas now. I know I don't.

Anyway, just wanted to share that.

I'm with you, Reaptat. I was in Dollar Tree the other day, and they have Christmas gift bags and wrapping paper out already. I had the same reaction. They seem to start earlier and earlier every year.

Hey my 22nd birthday is tomorrow . and I just thought I would let you all know about it

but anyways,I just got done reading your post reaptat, and I don't blame them for putting the christmas decorations out early ,because by them putting it out early it will save them the time and hassle of having to wait to put it out until later .

Ever hear the phrase "christmas in july"?

I used to think that the phrase came from the fact that places like Australia celebrate christmas during their summer. But in the retail world... A store has to have all their orders for christmas stuff in, apparently, by July. Or at least it used to be that way. Now, I think, the ordering has been pushed so far back that they pretty bmuch have to have the orders in by easter... And some of the stores actually START GETTING their merchandise in around July.

So yea, it's early... But to the people who work at the store... The christmas stuff may have been sitting in the back room for the past three months already and they're just plain out of room to stack it up...

The holidays are what we make them, you know? For some people, it's all about spending. The stores wouldn't be motivated to provide all this commercialized junk if nobody was buying it - but it sells. From the moment they set it out, it sells. *shrugs*
