Some Los Angeles City Councilmembers want to ban medical cannabis patients’ cooperatives and collectives outright. Americans for Safe Access (ASA) is calling on supporters to speak out against banning safe access at tomorrow’s City Council meeting and to send an email message to each Councilmember - http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/182/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=8825
right now. ASA’s online action center makes it easy.
I know this is short notice, but we need to have medical cannabis patients at City Hall tomorrow morning. We have worked too long and hard to let the City Council turn their backs on legal patients now! Sources tell us that a City Councilmember will make a motion to ban patients’ associations at the meeting. This is in addition to a similar motion
by Councilmembers Parks and Perry that is currently before the Public Safety Committee. Please attend if you can and help spread the word!
What: LA City Council Meeting
When: 10:00 AM * Wednesday, November 23, 2011
Where: City Council Chambers, Room 340, 200 North Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012
Come early to find paid parking and complete a public speaker’s card for general public comments. You will have a short time to speak to the City Council at the beginning of the meeting.
I realize not everyone will be able to attend the meeting tomorrow morning, but we can all use the online action center to send an email message to the City Council
right now. Then keep an eye on this list for more opportunities to stop a ban on safe access in Los Angeles.
Thanks for helping,
